The Mititzky family story reaches back to 1269, rooted in the village of Nemes-Mitic (Mitta) near Trencsén, in historical Upper Hungary (present-day Slovakia). The family’s prominence was confirmed in 1464, when King Matthias Corvinus awarded the Jastrabie (Ölved) estate to ancestor Prokop de Mytha for blood shed in service to the Crown. Since those early days, the name has stood for a distinct balance of values: a longstanding tradition of military service, paired with a sharp instinct for commerce and stewardship, a legacy that lives on as the family thrives in business today.
